8 Current Obsessions That Are Changing The Game For Me

Doing what I do best (traveling in Greece) and drinking what I drink best (heavy pour of wine).

Hey there, fellow wanderlusters! 👋 Laura here, coming at you with a roundup of my current obsessions that are making my nomadic heart sing. Whether you're plotting your next adventure or just dreaming of far-off places (I see you, Patagonia!), I've got some goodies that'll get you inspired and prepped for wherever your wanderlust takes you. You know how it goes - you find something cool on your travels and suddenly you can't shut up about it. Here's what's been on my radar:

Sandcloud Towels

I swear, these things are magic. They're Turkish towels that pack down to nothing, dry in a heartbeat, double as a plane blanket and somehow repel sand like it's their job. I've got a small collection going, and I keep foisting them on my friends as gifts. Sorry not sorry, guys - you'll thank me later.

Rest easy anywhere: versatile travel blankets provide comfort whether you're on a plane, train, or sailing the seas.

Anthony Bourdain

Been on a Bourdain kick lately, listening to his books on Audible. The man just gets it, you know? His way of diving into a place, head-first and hungry... that's the kind of travel I'm all about. I listened to Kitchen Confidential on Audible, and now I'm listening to Medium Raw.

Patagonia, Argentina

Ugh, my heart. This place has been calling my name for ages. Those mountains, the wide-open spaces... I dream about it almost daily. It WILL happen soon--mark my words!

Freddo Espresso

Back in Greece and rediscovering my love for this frothy, strong espresso goodness. I gotta give it up to my favorite style of coffee from anywhere I've been. Frothy, strong espresso? Say less. Try making your own at home with this recipe.

Ododos Athleisure

Look, I'm all for Lululemon Softstreme, but my wallet isn't. Found this brand and practically lived in it all summer. Comfy, looks good, doesn't cost a fortune. Win-win-win.

In Greece below I’m wearing these shorts and this top.

These Lulu dupes are a total game-changer for adventurous souls uninterested in that Lulu price tag. I swear by my versatile athleisure.

Suede Boho Handbags from Marrakech

So, I might have a slight obsession with these bags I found in Marrakech. Got a few in April, went back for more. Now I'm toying with the idea of bringing some back to sell. Anyone interested in a little pop-up shop action? Anyone? Anyone? 👀

Obsessed with how this olive fringed bag complements my henna hands.

Fresh Olives

Former olive hater here, completely converted. Turns out I just needed to try the real deal in Morocco and Greece. Now I'm that person who brings olives home to share. Olives smothered in garlic and dill? Count me in. Those green little gems bathed in spicy harissa? Yes ma'am. I make sure to bring some home after every trip so I can share them with friends when I make charcuterie, and they're the best snack with a glass of wine. They're a whole different world from the sad, rubbery things in jars.

Vinho Verde

If you know me, you know I love my wine. But vinho verde from Portugal? That's my jam. Crisp, a little bubbly, perfect for pretty much any occasion. I should probably be a sommelier by now, but I'm too busy drinking the stuff to remember all the fancy wine lingo.

That's the rundown of what's been on my mind lately. It's funny how travel changes you - suddenly you're that person raving about olive varieties and obscure coffee drinks.

What about you all? Got any recent discoveries or dream destinations you can't stop thinking about? Drop 'em in the comments - always looking for new inspiration for the next adventure.

Catch you on the flippppp!
Laura
