20 Travel Essentials for Your Summer Vacation

As we are getting into the peak summer travel months, I'm excited to share my top 20 travel essentials for summer travel! Whether you're hitting the beach, a weekend road trip, or exploring a new country, I have my list of favorite packing packing essentials, electronics, gear, and outfits to help you stay organized. So, let's dive into the list and get ready to pack your bags!

Packing Essentials

Monos Carry-On

The Monos Carry-On is my favorite luggage piece. It fits in the overhead bin of almost any flight, is lightweight, has super smooth wheels and a gliding handle, has a TSA-approved lock, and holds an incredible amount of stuff.

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes help protect your clothes from odors and wrinkles while traveling. They also help keep them neat and organized in your luggage—a lifesaver when you’re on the move!

Shoe Bags

These shoe bags are lightweight and machine washable. They will protect clothing in your luggage from the dirt, sand, and germs that shoes pick up.

Santa Barbara Design Studio Tote Bag

These tote bags are made of durable canvas with leather straps. They hold a lot of travel gear and fit under a plane seat or in the trunk of your car during a road trip.

Electronics

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones

These Bose noise cancelling wireless headphones have two different modes to allow you full or partial noise cancelling. They have a 22-hour battery life and a quick 15-miute charge for three hours while on the go.

Apple AirTags

With AirTags, you can leave a tracker inside of your luggage and use the Find My app on your iPhone to track its location (but hopefully you’ll never need to!). It’s extra peace of mind during peak travel months when lost luggage is at an all-time high!

Power Bank

The Anker Portable Power Bank is so helpful when I am traveling for hours and don’t have access to charge my phone. They are slim and fit easily in my waist pack or crossbody bag. I’m known to have a couple on me at any time!

Travel Gear

Passport Holder

The Passport Holder holds your passport and other important documents, such a a driver’s license or credit card. It has a hidden magnetic snap button closure to keep items secure and has a material engineered specifically to protect your private information stored on your passport and credit cards from unauthorized scans.

Luggage Cup Holder

Having a luggage cup holder will help keep your hands free while navigating through a busy airport so you can drink your Starbies without fear of spills. The materials are leak-proof and heat-insulating, and the removable divider can be adjusted to fit different size bottles and cups.

Ballast Inflatable Pillow

The Ballast inflatable pillow is perfect for anyone going to the beach or camping this summer. It is soft, wicks away water, sheds sand, and won’t fly away! Plus, it packs down to a super small size!

Hydroflask

The Hydroflask is one of my favorite water bottles for traveling. It keeps beverages cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours! It is dishwasher safe and the lid is leakproof.

CALPAK Water Bottle Holder

The detachable shoulder strap CALPAK water bottle sling bag has multiple pockets and is perfect for keeping you hands-free while walking, hiking and running this summer.

Travel Sleep Mask

I love traveling with a sleep mask on long flights and in hotel rooms—I even use it at home! This deep contoured eye mask blocks out 99% of light. It is made out of breathable memory foam and is incredibly soft on your face. Plus it’s great for eyelash extensions!

Sand Cloud Towel

I am legit obsessed with these towels by Sand Cloud. I have both sizes, plus bath towels. They dry super fast, fold up small, and can be used for the beach, music in the park, after showering, and (my fave) on the plane as a blanket. They come in so many adorable patterns that you won’t be able to choose just one!

Transformational Travel Journal

This journal is designed as a guide to show us how to explore the world (and our backyard) more mindfully, reflect on experiences with a more meaningful perspective, connect with others more intimately, and thereby, foster a more intentional and purpose-driven life. Clothing and Accessories

Lululemon Align™ Leggings

These are hands down my go-to leggings for travel. They are lightweight and easily rollable in your luggage, but lined for coverage we need while exploring. Plus, they are incredibly soft like butter! You can hide a credit card or keys in the hidden waistband, and they’re easy to wash and quick to dry on the go.

Jumpsuit

I love wearing this cute jumpsuit on planes. It’s stylish and also very comfortable. The soft fabric pants help to keep my legs warm when the plane gets chilly. It is also super versatile to throw on in the summer while exploring a new city or dressing up for an evening out.

Fedora Hat

These fedora hats help keep the sun off your face while at the beach or exploring. They have a UPF 50+, which is the maximum sun protective rating achievable for fabrics. These hats are also foldable and can easily be carried in your bag or luggage.

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag

The Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag was made for travel with its water-repellent fabric, high quality, inside pocket organization, and adjustable waist straps. You can keep your hands free while traveling through airports, exploring the city, or adventuring in nature. It can be worn across your body or around your waist.

Birkenstock Sandals

These Birkenstocks are hands-down the most comfortable sandals to wear while traveling, even while walking all day! They are supportive, mold to your feet, and hold up extremely well. I’ve got so many pairs of Birks, and I never leave home without them!
